CPP Community Theatre Inc. (formerly Croydon Parish Players) is a not-for-profit theatre group encouraging an appreciation and understanding of dramatic art. We normally present 2 shows a year: A play, which is performed in May, and a musical in October. We also have an a Capella choir. We provide opportunities for our members to improve their performance levels, and develop and/or vary their skills both on and off the stage.
We are a not for profit incorporated association, who follow a set of model rules. Our funds are generated from members’ subscriptions and our performances. When we are able to, we donate excess funds to charitable organizations both locally and further afield. These funds are distributed at the discretion of our committee. Over the years these moneys have largely been donated to local charities. We operate in a Christian and inclusive manner, nurturing friendship, support and care for members and their families.
We may come together as individuals, but as one group we work toward a common goal. That goal is to put together a performance that is enjoyed by our audience, gives pride to all of our members and participants, and encourages camaraderie between individuals who come from many diverse backgrounds. This is achieved by many members, past and present devoting endless time and effort for this common goal.
If you’d like to financially support our theatre group, please consider making a donation on our donation page, or becoming a member.
